Week #23 in Texas - Hereford, TX

WELCOME TO WINTER!!

Hello from freezing Texas, that nobody could have expected less than me. Sheesh! It has been very cold here, but it doesn't stop the work from progressing! We have still just been having miracles and exciting things happening here in Hereford!

Our investigator family came to church yesterday even though it was snowing so hard!! yay!! We were so excited and they brought their 4 kids with them! They are progressing so well, and we are going to set a baptismal date with them soon. They are so amazing and open to learning more.

So we went to Amarillo for zone training this week, and our investigator, Jesus, gave us each 25 dollars to a steak house. so what'd we do--we got ourselves steak and shrimp and strawberry lemonades! Haha! We knew were not going back there any time soon, so we just blew it all. Haha! First and last time I'll get that on my mission. We had a good time though! :)

We also stopped in a field and picked a puff of cotton. Haha! We were stoked! The cotton fields here are huge and beautiful!

We went to Earth again this week, and met our referral. He is a Vietnam war veteran and has severe PTSD. But it was so amazing to share the gospel with him, and how it could exactly apply to his needs and his pains. I never cease to be amazed how the gospel applies to each one of us in our own individual ways and helps us to heal from our wounds.

I am so grateful to be in this work and watch it mold to peoples lives and problems, and be the healing balm that each person needs to continue on and to be happy in their lives. Its so frustrating to have someone begging to know the truth and have relief, but won't keep the commitments that we ask of them, like reading the Book of Mormon or coming to church. Because we know that this what is going to help them perfectly! But it's all in the Lord's time and they will accept it when their time is right!

Thanks for all the support. ya'll are amazing!

Love,

Hermana Bleyl
